This is the first German-Korean bilateral workshop for female junior scientists in physics aiming at the promotion of young female scientists in both countries through the exchange of recent and leading-edge research results on current topics. We hope this will lead to a strong scientist network between Germany and Korea. The Workshop will be held at the Sangsan Mathematical Science Building, Seoul National University (SNU, http://www.snu.ac.kr) on Monday, 6 October, and at the International Conference Room, Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS, http://www.kias.re.kr) on Tuesday, 7 October.

This workshop is organized as a satellite meeting of the 3rd IUPAP International Conference on Women in Physics 2008 (ICWIP 2008, http://icwip2008.org) in Seoul, Korea, 8 – 11 October 2008.
