Jihn E. Kim received a Humboldt Research Award for a Senior Korean Scientist in November 7, 2001. The award, which amounts to DM100,000, recognizes his past accomplishment in research and teaching and entitles him to stay for a period of nine months at a research institute of his choice in Germany. Dr. Kim will use the award to pay his expenses while visiting the Univ. of Bonn from August 1, 2002 through Feb. 28, 2003, and another visit at a later time. (Photo)
